At St. Mary Magdalene, we are committed to creating environments where children can grow in faith safely, confidently, and with the support of caring adults. Through education and training, we work together as a parish community to protect and care for every child entrusted to us.

Empowering God's Children®
Each year, children and youth participating in Christian Formation receive an age-appropriate safe environment lesson. This program helps children understand healthy boundaries, recognize safe and unsafe behaviors, develop awareness of healthy relationships, and know what to do if someone violates their boundaries.
Parent Opt-Out
Parents have the option to opt their child out of the lesson. Additional information and lesson details will be communicated prior to instruction each year.

Safe Environment Training
All parish staff and volunteers working with minors or vulnerable adults must complete required safe environment training and a background check.
