Preparing for the 2026-27 Formation Year.

  • Our objective is not simply to teach lessons, but to support the spiritual life of the entire family.

As part of this shared commitment, families should be prepared to:

    • Review weekly prayers and lesson materials with their children

    • Attend Mass regularly as a family

    • Participate in Parent Discipleship events throughout the year

    • Maintain attendance and communication expectations

    • Support consistent participation in the program

Faith Formation is most effective when faith is lived not only in the classroom, but also in the home.

  • One of the most important ways families grow in faith together is through regular participation at Sunday Mass. The Third Commandment calls us to keep holy the Lord’s Day. For Catholics, this means making Sunday Mass a priority in family life whenever possible.

Christian Formation is never a substitute for attending Mass.

  • We are expanding additional class offerings to Thursdays in order to better serve busy families. Final scheduling, however, depends greatly on enrollment and the availability of catechists and volunteers. Please prayerfully consider volunteering.

  • We are adding bilingual books for grades K-5 to better support Spanish-speaking families in living and discussing the faith at home. While Christian Formation classes are still taught in English, our goal is to help parents feel more confident engaging in prayers, lessons, and conversations about faith alongside their children.

  • If our available class times do not meet your family’s needs, we are happy to work with neighboring Catholic parishes to help families find a Faith Formation program that better fits their situation.

Our shared goal is always the same: helping children and families remain connected to Christ and the life of the Church.
