Sacrament RetreatsIn the Gospels, Jesus often withdrew to quiet places to pray (Mark 1:35).
He also invited His disciples to “come apart… and rest a while” (Mark 6:31).
A sacrament retreat follows this same pattern: stepping away from the noise of daily life to encounter God more personally.
A Sacrament Retreat creates space for youth to:
Listen more intentionally to God
Reflect on their lives in light of the Gospel
Respond to His grace with greater clarity
Faith is not meant to be lived alone.
Through games, shared experiences, and time together, children build friendships, laugh, and experience the joy that comes from being part of a community centered on Christ.
Our Retreats
First Holy Communion Retreat
The Church teaches that the Eucharist is “the source and summit of the Christian life” (CCC 1324).
A First Holy Communion retreat (a requirement of First Holy Communion) helps children understand the profound gift they are about to receive: Jesus Christ truly present in the Eucharist.
Children will experience:
Simple, engaging talks rooted in Scripture
Interactive activities
Tasting unconsecrated hosts
No matter when a child is preparing to receive First Holy Communion – from early elementary to high school – we provide age-appropriate retreats that help them encounter Jesus in the Eucharist with understanding, reverence, and joy.
Our retreats are given in April before First Holy Communion masses in May.
Teen Confirmation Retreat
Confirmation strengthens the grace of Baptism and equips us to live as witnesses of Christ (CCC 1303).
A Teen Confirmation Retreat invites youth to reflect more deeply on their relationship with Christ and their readiness to receive the Holy Spirit.
During the Confirmation retreat (a requirement for Teen Confirmation), students are invited to:
Reflect on their personal faith and relationship with God
Open their hearts to the Holy Spirit
Consider what it means to live as a disciple
This is a chance to take a step back, think about one’s faith, and be ready for Confirmation in a real and personal way.
Our one- or two-day Confirmation retreats are typically held in October, a few weeks out from Confirmation.
