Faith that forms. Learning that lasts.

Our curriculum invites children and teens into a deeper relationship with Christ through experiential learning that connects faith with real life.

We don’t simply teach kids.

We journey with them.

Every lesson follows a flow that mirrors how faith grows in real life:

Start with Lived Experience – Kids begin by reflecting on something real in their world.

Reflect Deeply – Through guided conversation, they uncover deeper meaning.

Connect to Church Teaching – We link their experience to the truth of the Catholic faith.

Act in Faith – Kids are empowered to live out what they’ve learned in their homes, schools, and communities.

Cores of our curriculum.

  • Because you (the parents) are the first and best teachers of the faith, our goal is to make faith formation flexible and deeply supportive. Through a mix of in-person gatherings, online resources, and at-home tools, we help parents grow in faith alongside their children. We create space for growth that fits into real life – not a perfect one.

  • To further real connection and what it means to be Catholic, service is a vital piece of our approach to Christian Formation.  Every child and teen that is part of our program is invited to actively engage in parish life. With over 90 ministries in our vibrant parish, there’s a place for every age to give of themselves.

  • We use trusted Catholic curriculum materials, but faith formation is more than reading a textbook. Our sessions combine stories, discussion, prayer, hands-on experiences, and meaningful conversations that help children encounter Christ and see how faith connects to everyday life.

Videos, digital media, interactive experiences, and parent formation reinforce one simple truth:

Faith is not only learned. It is lived.

Language Support

Our Faith Formation classes are taught in English, but we recognize that faith formation happens best when the whole family is involved. For this reason, bilingual books and resources are available for kindergarten through 5th grade to help parents participate more confidently in conversations, prayers, and faith formation at home.

We also encourage parents from every language background to volunteer and become involved. If you are learning English, serving in the classroom can actually become a wonderful opportunity to practice the language, build friendships, and grow more connected to parish life while helping children encounter Christ.

And if you are interested in improving your English skills, St. Mary Magdalene also offers English as a Second Language (ESL) opportunities for adults.
